Keeping the family tradition going
In 1966, Charles (Bud) Hausman and Edward L. Kunkel combined their personal lines insurance expertise to form Hausman-Kunkel, Inc. After decades of working with families and businesses in their surrounding communities, the small agency grew from the two-person operation of the 1960s to its present staff of over forty insurance professionals today.
As Kunkel retired, Robert G. Shannon (Bob) took his place as a principal co-owner, currently managing the commercial lines team and administrative operations while Bud oversees the rest. In addition, continuing the family legacy are Bud's sons, Scott and Mike Hausman. Scott is well-educated in both personal and commercial lines, and Mike later grew to continue as personal lines manager and continues to help clients with all of their insurance needs.
